Let’s look at the day cream…  a combination of rose geranium, cypress and frankincense oils.

Rose Geranium is grown for its beauty, and that is exactly what it does to our skin- it beautifies. Our skin becomes clear and vibrant, and has that healthy glow that we all long for.

This is no new discovery, the Egyptians commonly used rose geranium oil to promote beautiful and radiant skin.

Its astringent qualities reduce wrinkles and sagging skin. It increases blood circulation right below the surface of the skin, which helps to heal skin damaged by the sun, by rashes, or acne. It also helps to reduce inflammation, as well as alleviating anxiety and balancing hormones. And on top of all of that, who doesn’t love the sweet floral fragrance - it’s a staple in the perfume industry! 

Cypress oil has a clean and fresh aroma. It is a base note, so it is earthy, anchoring the other essential oils in the daycream.  Cypress has antiseptic, and antibacterial properties keeping our skin from becoming congested. The antiseptic qualities in cypress oil are due to the presence of camphene, meaning it’s a gem at keeping our skin clean. Cypress oil contains monoterpenes, making it very beneficial for oily skin conditions.

Cypress oil has a grounding, yet stimulating effect on the emotions, it lifts the spirits!

And lucky last is Frankincense oil, which is often referred to as the ‘king of essential oils’ and boy, is it ever. In Christianity it was one of the first gifts given to Jesus by the  three wise men. Its healing qualities are endless, and only a miniscule amount is needed. Where do I start?... it can help relieve stress and anxiety, support healthy cellular function, reduce pain and inflammation, boost immunity, and improve circulation.. The list just goes on... it helps prevent signs of aging, tones and heals the skin, improves elasticity, has astringent properties, and balances hormone levels.
